To close the loop, our journey begins at our collection centers, where we receive all types of plastics from homes and businesses with the help of our network of community-based organizations living in informal settlements. From there the plastics are transported to our recycling plants where they are sorted according to the various types of plastics. Once sorting is completed, our shredding machines make granules from the waste, after which these waste granules are put through either hot or cold washing to remove contaminants. The next step involves formulating, blending and compounding the granulates into processed plastics pellets. Each batch is formulated based on the client’s needs while the pellets become the feedstock for manufacturing replacing virgin plastics in making new products and re introducing them to the end consumer for use.
